A sincere apoloogy

Dear ____________________,

Everyone looks down on you and treats you like trash, yet you continue to help us whenever we need you. Why?

You deal with our crap, support us through thick and thin, but not once have you asked for anything in return.

Truth is, nobody appreciates you as much as they should. And most people never will. But I do.

Because when times get rough, and I need a way of offloading my problems, I know I can count on you to be there for me, without judgement.

And whenever I feel heavy or run down, after spending time with you I come away feeling lighter.

You’re reliable, trusty, and have been there for me more than any friend, lover or family member has, or ever will be.

Yet, despite all this, I will continue to sh*t all over you until the day I die, and for that I’m sorry.
